Dr. LaHoste is a New Orleans native. She went to St. Catherine of Siena for grammar school and Mount Carmel Academy for high school. Dr. LaHoste attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge for three years before starting at the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine as part of the three plus one program. She received a Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Science from LSU in 2011, then her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2014. During her undergraduate education, she started working at Causeway Animal Hospital as a kennel attendant. After graduating from vet school, Dr. LaHoste practiced for a few years at other clinics before returning to her roots at Causeway Animal Hospital in January 2017. Dr. LaHoste lives in Metairie with her daughter, Emily, and their two dogs, Archie (Labrador) and Louie (mixed breed).
