Rachel Morse

Staff Veterinarian

DVM

Dr. Morse is a native of New Orleans, growing up in Metairie. Although she did not have numerous pets, she wanted to be a veterinarian since the age of six, desiring to help God's creatures that could not help themselves.

She attended LSU in Baton Rouge and received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Systems. She was a very active member and officer of Pi Beta Phi Woman's Fraternity. She went on to the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine: there she was involved in Open House, the Raptor and Wildlife Rehabilitation Unit, and worked in Large and Small Animal Surgery.

After graduating in 1999, she worked in a private practice and finally joined the VCA Causeway family in 2006.

She enjoys the variety that veterinary medicine provides and likes being in a progressive practice with other experienced veterinarians to offer support. She love making long term relationships with her clients and their pets, working together through all phases of the pets' life.

Dr. Morse has been happily married for over 20 years to an emergency medicine physician. Has three children in high school and college. She currently has two dogs, a German shepherd mix and an Australian shepherd mix.
