Ashley's journey with VCA began in August 2023 as a relief worker, before officially joining the team in January 2024. This transition allowed her to fully immerse herself in the rewarding field of veterinary medicine.
Driven by a profound love for animals, Ashley's decision to work in veterinary medicine is deeply rooted in her desire to make a difference. However, what truly fuels her passion is her fascination with science and medicine, coupled with her commitment to educating and empowering her community. She firmly believes that by sharing knowledge, we can enhance the well-being of our furry companions.
With a Bachelor's of Science in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation, specializing in conservation genetics and wildlife rehabilitation, Ashley brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. Additionally, she is a certified Veterinary Technician with the Colorado Association of Certified Veterinary Technicians (CACVT) and the state of Colorado.
At home, Ashley shares her space with four beloved pets: three elderly rescue cats and her loyal Alaskan Malamute mix, Kira. They bring immense joy and companionship to her life.
When she's not at work, Ashley can be found exploring nature on hiking trails or planning her next adventure to a national park. She also enjoys spending quality time with friends, whether it's through playing music or engaging in friendly games.
Ashley is grateful to be part of the VCA team, where she can combine her passion for animals with her dedication to science and education. Together, she is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our furry friends and our community.
