Dr. LaFort earned her Undergrad degree in pre-veterinary sciences from UMASS Amherst followed by her Veterinary doctorate from St. George's University. She has been in clinical practice at VCA Hanson since March of 2024. Dr. LaFort's professional interests include mentoring students and staff and learning new techniques to best benefit her patients. Quoting Nelson Mandela, she says, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Dr LaFort performs soft tissue surgery and dentistry one day every other week on canine and feline patients. She enjoys educating owners in all facets of veterinary medicine to best provide for not only their pets needs but their own. She believes strongly in a tiered medical approach and forming individualized treatment plans to best fit their requirements.

Dr. LaFort enjoys outdoor activities that keep her active, such as swimming, hiking, biking, skiing, and camping, making summer her favorite season. Her passion is travelling, both internationally and nationally, when she can.
