Dr. Sophia earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University in 2014. After graduation she moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she completed an equine internship at a full-service equine hospital. She has experience working at a large animal practice as well as cat and dog hospitals.

In 2015 Dr. Sophia became certified by Colorado State University to perform acupuncture in all species. Acupuncture is a passion of hers and she has offered acupuncture on many different species ranging from chickens to horses, and of course, cats and dogs. Additionally, she is also USDA accredited.

Dr. Sophia's interests outside of veterinary medicine includes hiking, horseback riding, and traveling. Her four-legged family consists of three dogs, one cat and two horses - one full-sized and one mini!
