Alex is a native of the Bay Area, having been born and raised in San Jose. In the winter of 2025, he became a patient care specialist at VCA Palo Alto, moving from a receptionist position to embrace a more direct role in caring for our beloved four-legged family members. He obtained his veterinary assistant certification from Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) in 2022 and has been actively pursuing further education since then. He recently earned his Associate Degree in Business Administration from Mission College and will be attending San José State University in Fall 2026 to complete his bachelor's degree in business.
Alex has accumulated several years of experience in the veterinary field, having worked in various hospitals and roles. He began his career at the young age of 16 as a client service representative. These experiences have allowed him to engage with animals from diverse backgrounds and cultivate a deep passion for veterinary medicine.
At home, Alex tends to a vibrant assortment of pets, featuring his three dogs, four chickens, and a cat. His enduring passion for animals fuels his professional growth and deepens his understanding in the field.
Outside of work, Alex delights in painting, sewing, and diving into creative projects. Whether he's crafting DIY projects, designing clothing, or working on a new piece of art, he enjoys expressing himself through creativity. He enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling, and listening to music, with a particular love for Ariana Grande and Shakira.
