Team Spotlight
Dr. Joanne Smith grew up in Bethesda, Maryland. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993 with a BA in neurobiology. She worked for several years in San Francisco as a research assistant in the gastroenterology department of UCSF, then as a veterinary assistant and also as a volunteer at the Marine Mammal Center. In 2003, she graduated from Ross University, School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical veterinary training at the University of Illinois, School of Veterinary Medicine.

Danielle was born and raised in Hong Kong and has worked with both large and small animals her whole life. She moved to California for college and graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a bachelor's in Animal Science in 2020. After graduation, Danielle worked as a Veterinary Assistant in private practice and transitioned into a management role. On the side, she was a part-time in-home dog trainer, where she worked specifically with fearful and reactive dogs.
