Aleisha was born in the city of San Diego, CA, with deep family roots on the enchanting Hawaiian Island of Kauai–The Garden Isle. Her affection for the animal kingdom spans the spectrum of the graceful sea turtles to the vibrant tree frogs and green iguanas, to the incredible western lowland gorillas of Cameroon and the Congo. After dedicating 23 years to a fulfilling career in another field, Aleisha embarked on a new path to pursue a career aligned with her profound love for animals.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Aleisha finds the most fun-filled and warm moments are spent in the company of her cherished family which includes three beautiful grandkids—a newborn grandson, a bright-eyed 4-year-old granddaughter, and an adventurous 5-year-old grandson. In Aleisha's household, the love for animals extends to the four-legged members as well. Three crazy dogs and two aloof, yet lovable, cats complete the diverse picture of her home.
