Savannah first became inspired to pursue veterinary medicine while working as a receptionist. Watching the technicians perform their daily tasks sparked her interest, and before long, she found herself helping in small ways—like assisting with restraint—just so she could learn more. That's when Savannah realized she had fallen in love with the work.
Since becoming a veterinary assistant, Savannah discovered how much she enjoyed caring for pets as if they were her own—especially when she can help nurse them back to health. Her favorite part of the job is client education, even if she sometimes feel like she rambles because she's so passionate about sharing knowledge. Savannah also particularly enjoys phlebotomy and ear cleanings.
Savannah has been in veterinary medicine since August 2022, and every day she continues to grow thanks to the support of her team. She's currently working toward her degree in veterinary medicine with the goal of becoming a licensed technician.
One of the most rewarding lessons Savannah has learned is that each pet has unique needs; sometimes they feel safer with just one person and building that one-on-one trust is incredibly fulfilling. She takes pride in practicing fear-free techniques and making every patient feel comfortable. Every pet that walks through our doors holds a special place in her heart.
