Dr. Ashlei Tinsley obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Cultural Anthropology from Syracuse University. She is a Philadelphia native and received her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine (PennVet). Following graduation, she completed a rotating internship at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in New York City. Dr. Tinsley then returned to Philadelphia and completed a three-year residency in Emergency and Critical Care at PennVet. She became board certified in Emergency and Critical Care in 2023.
Dr. Tinsley has published papers on feline trauma and glucocorticoid use in ICU and ER. Her professional interests include trauma, sepsis, and extracorporeal therapies. In her spare time, Dr. Tinsley enjoys relaxing with her dogs (Wyatt, Winston, Willow, and Wednesday), trying new restaurants, and watching the Philadelphia Eagles – Go Birds!
