Jen hails from Southern California, where she spent the first 18 years of her life. She then moved to Northern California were she started her veterinary career as a kennel/technician assistant. In 2007 Jen made the move to Colorado to attend the Belrea Institute of Veterinary Technology. In total, Jen has spent almost 20 years in the veterinary industry. During this time she has worked in small and large veterinary hospitals, as well as dedicated a number of years to the Denver Dumb Friends League bringing low income services to the underserved. Her true passion lies in training and mentoring others in this industry. Jen was ecstatic when she had the opportunity to return to the VCA Alameda East family to take on the role as Technician Development Coordinator.
Jen has 2 cats, 2.5 dogs, a tortoise, and 4 chickens she can call her own. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time in her garden, riding her bike, hiking with her crazy dogs and attempting agility with Juno.
