Dr. Heidi Stiehl grew up in Colorado, Wyoming, and Germany. She completed her undergraduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), followed by her veterinary degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She completed her rotating internship at VCA San Francisco Veterinary Specialists in 2012 and has been practicing at VCA Almaden Valley Animal Hospital ever since. Dr. Stiehl's areas of interest include internal medicine, diabetes (inspired by her two diabetic cats), and geriatric medicine, managing multiple medical issues in dogs' and cats' golden years. She excels at making strong, long-lasting connections with her clients and their pets. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Stiehl enjoys spending time with her family (husband, two daughters, two dogs and two cats), reading, gardening, traveling, and being in nature, especially in Tahoe.
