Dr. Melissa Beck is a proud graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, located in St. Kitts, one of the Leeward Islands in the West Indies. A bay area native, Dr. Beck has spent her entire career at VCA, starting with her first high school job at VCA Monte Vista Animal Hospital. After vet school, she worked at VCA Lewelling as the Medical Director for over 15 years. In that time, she earned clients' trust, built rapport with her team members, and mentored recent DVM graduates and students who are now colleagues. Dr. Beck is compassionate by nature, which is the foundation of her gentle and kind care for her patients and their people. She particularly enjoys the challenges of dermatology, emergency, and internal medicine cases. 

She has been busy renovating her Bay Area home in her spare time, but when not swinging a hammer, she enjoys camping and hiking with her family and chasing after her rescue dogs.
