Dr. Becker grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and received her bachelor's degree in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Throughout her undergraduate studies, Dr. Becker was heavily involved with the pre-veterinary association and traveled to Nicaragua and Thailand on veterinary mission trips. These experiences fostered a strong passion for travel, leadership, and public health education that drove her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Dr. Becker obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana.
Dr. Becker's main veterinary interest is in surgery, although she loves to continue to grow in all facets of the field.
Having grown up with Bernese Mountain Dogs and a Leonberger, she has a love for giant breed dogs. She currently has a precious grey and white cat named Loaf, which she adopted while in veterinary school, who loves to go on walks in his cat stroller around the neighborhood.
In her free time, Dr. Becker is committed to running and triathlon training, as well as spending time with friends and family, trying new restaurants, and exploring new places both in and out of the city.
