Dr. Hayes was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. He spent the last 10 years practicing emergency and surgical relief in San Diego, California, before deciding to move back to Chicago to be close to family. Dr. Hayes received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from St. George's University, completing his year of clinical work at the University of Florida. His interests in veterinary medicine include surgery, emergency medicine, and ophthalmology. When Dr. Hayes is not working, he and his husband are busy with their daughter and three dogs.
