My name is Melissa and I love being a licensed veterinary nurse. I have been in the veterinary field for over 15 years now. I graduated from Bergen Community College with an associate's in Veterinary Technology degree in 2013 and received my license soon after passing my VTNE (Veterinary Technician National Exam). I also obtained my bachelor's degree at SUNY Canton in 2022 for Veterinary Administrative Service. I also hold additional certifications in AAHA Diabetic Educator, Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional, and Fear Free Certified Professional.

Being a veterinary nurse has been a rewarding career for me. I have the opportunity to work closely with all kinds of patients as a veterinary nurse. I found my first love to be in dogs. As my time grew working in the field, I have also found love in other species such as cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, turtles, and other wildlife. My favorite part of my job is helping pets through their surgical procedures. I take pride in my work, and I always want what's best for my patients and pet owners. I enjoy educating pet owners to better care for their pets at home. Some other fun facts about me is that I am a Mom and enjoy my days off with my son, my husband, and my two cats, Autumn and Abu. My favorite breed of dogs are American Staffordshire Terriers. I also enjoy yoga, hiking, and swimming.
