Dr. Garcia is a Southern California native having grown up in the Santa Clarita Valley. Over the course of pursuing higher education, bounced from coast to coast, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Cornell University, and then attending veterinary school at UC Davis. She completed a small animal rotating internship at California Veterinary Specialists, Carlsbad, and received specialty training in Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Passionate about all aspects of Internal Medicine, Dr. Garcia has a particular interest in feline medicine, as well as both infectious and immune-mediated diseases. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and paddle-boarding, and spending time with her partner, Jeff, and their two cats, Sprout and Twig. Dr. Garcia is excited be returning to her home state and to California Veterinary Specialists in Carlsbad!
