Shaun is an experienced animal care and management professional with a diverse background in marine mammal conservation and veterinary services. Originally from California, Shaun moved to Washington in 2005, bringing with him valuable experience from his role at the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, where he contributed to and supervised the care and rehabilitation of marine wildlife.
After relocating to Washington, Shaun transitioned into a role as an animal trainer for the Navy Marine Mammal Program, where he played an integral part in the training and handling of marine mammals for defense applications. His passion for animal care and his leadership abilities led him to join VCA, where he started as a technician supervisor. Over time, Shaun's commitment and skill led to his advancement from a technician supervisor to ultimately serving as office and interim hospital manager.
Outside of his professional life, Shaun enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including diving, hiking, paddleboarding, and exploring both the beaches and mountains that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. A lifelong animal lover, Shaun not only has a passion for marine life but also enjoys the company of dogs. His love for nature and animals is evident in both his work and personal pursuits.
