"I chose veterinary medicine because I love working with pets and their families. Internal medicine is like a puzzle, many pieces fit together to reveal what we can do to best help the pet."

Internal Medicine

Internal medicine is the medical specialty concerned with the diagnosis, management, and non-surgical treatment of unusual or serious diseases. At VCA Encina Veterinary Medical Center, our ability to effectively diagnose and treat your pet results from talented veterinarians working with the best possible medical technology.

Dr. Peter Nurre (specialist of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine) and Dr. Jenifer Wang (residency trained) are available to oversee internal medicine cases and advise our associate staff when necessary. The experience and ability of our staff, and their commitment and rigorous training. allows them to keep pace with the latest medical advances. Each pet’s symptoms are evaluated individually and thoroughly.
