Dr. Alexander Betancourt attended the Agrarian University of Havana from 1997 to 2002, receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with honors. He also received his PhD in Veterinary Science from the Agrarian University of Havana/National Center of Animal Health, graduating with honors in 2007.

After completing extensive professional preparation in the veterinary field and before coming to the United States, Dr. Betancourt worked in various veterinary practices in Cuba, Spain and Brazil.

Dr. Betancourt’s areas of professional interest include emergency and critical care and soft tissue surgery.
