Meet Alex Smith, she was born and raised on the east coast near Boston, Massachusetts. She grew up an animal lover and always wanted to pursue working with animals. She graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor's in Communication in 2014 where she was also the captain of the women's varsity ice hockey team. Alex finally started her work with animals in veterinary medicine in 2022 after about 7 years working in human medicine. She started as a CSR but worked her way up to being VCA Palo Alto's Outpatient Coordinator and one of its Veterinary Assistants. She has a passion for the hands on work with the pets and helping make sure they get the best care.

When Alex isn't working, she's an avid sports fan and loves cheering on her favorite football team, the J-E-T-S Jets! Jets! Jets! She also loves spending time with her loved ones, traveling, playing sports, and listening to Taylor Swift.
