David began his career at VCA Smoketown over a decade ago, starting in the kennel and gradually transitioning to the medical side of the hospital. Today, he has the privilege of supervising the veterinary technical staff. Over the years, he has gained valuable skills through hands-on experience and the support of colleagues, and takes great pride in helping others grow and develop in their roles.
In addition to his work at Smoketown, David has recently had the opportunity to collaborate with VCA at the regional level, assisting in the training of staff in dental procedures and hands-free radiology techniques—two areas he is passionate about advancing within the field.
What draws David to veterinary medicine is the opportunity to advocate for and care for those who cannot speak for themselves. The field presents constant challenges that require critical and creative thinking—something he finds deeply rewarding every day.
Outside of work, David enjoys participating in obstacle races, boating, and staying active through a variety of sports.
