Jackie is a certified veterinary technician at VCA Smoketown Animal Hospital in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where she plays an important role in supporting advanced medical and surgical care for pets. Since joining the Smoketown team in 2008, Jackie has built strong relationships with both clients and colleagues while helping ensure pets receive attentive, high-quality care throughout their treatment and recovery.
Jackie earned her veterinary technician training from the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh and has dedicated her career to supporting patient care in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment. Over the years, she has developed extensive experience assisting with surgery, anesthesia, and the care of hospitalized patients, while also helping guide clients through their pets’ treatment and recovery.

Jackie has a strong passion for anesthesia, surgery, and emergency medicine. She plays an integral role on Dr. Gayle Jaeger’s orthopedic and advanced surgery team, where her expertise and focus help support safe anesthesia and positive outcomes for patients undergoing complex procedures. She is also RECOVER CPR certified, reflecting her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and emergency preparedness.
Jackie particularly enjoys educating clients and caring for hospitalized patients, ensuring they remain comfortable and closely monitored throughout their stay. Her dedication to patient advocacy and client communication helps create a supportive experience for families during some of the most important moments of their pet’s care.
