Jessica is a dedicated veterinary assistant who has been a valued member of the team at VCA Smoketown Animal Hospital since 2016. With nearly a decade of hands-on experience, Jessica brings both technical expertise and genuine compassion to every patient she cares for.
She earned her degree through Penn Foster, where she built a strong academic foundation to support her clinical skills. Jessica is especially passionate about dental procedures and has completed extensive advanced trainings to further her knowledge in veterinary dentistry. Her commitment to continuing education ensures that patients receive the highest standards of care
Jessica is RECOVER CPR Certified and thrives in fast-paced clinical environments. She has particular love for surgery and takes great pride in carefully monitoring and recovering patients post-operatively to ensure their comfort and safety. In addition, she is deeply committed to client education, believing that informed pet parents are empowered to make the best decisions for their companions.
Beyond her clinical role, Jessica is actively involved in the hospital's patient outreach department and also supports boarding and reception services. Whether she's assisting in surgery, guiding patients or helping behind the scenes, you'll see Jessica's friendly face throughout the hospital - always ready to lend a helping hand.
Outside of work Jessica enjoys reading, hiking and spending time with her husband and son. At home they have a hound mix, three cats and a bearded dragon.
