Dr. Kim is a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Kim completed a small animal rotating internship at California Veterinary Specialists, a small animal surgical internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists, and a surgical oncology clinical and research internship at VCA West Coast Specialty and Emergency Animal Hospital. From there, he completed a small animal surgery residency at the University of Minnesota/University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine before joining the staff at VCA South Shore (Weymouth) Animal Hospital as part of the Surgery service in 2025.
Dr. Kim is proficient in all aspects of small animal surgery. He has a special interest in minimally invasive soft tissue surgeries, as well as surgical oncology and orthopedics.
