Keaton Cortez

Veterinarian Specialist - Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging

Dr. Keaton Cortez was born and raised in Central California. He earned his BS in biology from Oregon State University and his DVM from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine. After completing a rotating internship at Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Marcos, he went on to complete his diagnostic imaging residency at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. Dr. Cortez is board certified in veterinary radiology, having been awarded Diplomate status by the American College of Veterinary Radiology in 2025.

Dr. Cortez enjoys all aspects of diagnostic imaging but has a special interest in minimally invasive CT- and ultrasound-guided biopsy and sampling.

Outside of work, Dr. Cortez enjoys spending time with his wife and their three pets: Goose, Tuna, and Cannoli. His hobbies include playing golf and learning new songs on the guitar.
