Hi! My name is Makenna and I am new to the veterinary field, but my love for animals is certainly not new! I grew up here in San Diego around cats, dogs, snakes, bearded dragons, tortoises you name it. Being around animals has always been something that brings me great joy. I currently have a wonderful Husky/German Shepherd mix named Canela. In my free time you can usually find me at the dog park with Canela, lifting weights, or spending time with my close friends and family. I am super grateful to be a part of the VCA family and looking forward to lots of learning!
