School: Auburn University
I was born and raised in Weirton, West Virginia. I earned my undergraduate degree at West Virginia University completed my doctorate at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. I enjoy making music and spending time with my dogs, Mr. Davis and Nugget, and my rat, Jesper. You can find us cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, Auburn Tigers, or at the edge of our seats watching a Formula 1 race on the weekends.
My earliest memories are centered on our family dog, Baron; a Great Dane/German Shepherd mix we rescued from the local animal shelter. We would play hide and seek, even though I am not sure he ever knew we were playing. I grew into the dog trainer of our family. As an adult, I began volunteering at our local animal shelter. What began as simply cleaning kennels turned into late nights reading research articles looking for ways to help our homeless animals. That is when I realized that my life's calling was to become a voice for animals and an advocate for their care.
