Routine vaccinations and regular health checkups are some of the most important things you can do to keep your pet safe and healthy. Vaccines help protect pets from serious—and sometimes deadly—diseases by building up their natural defenses before they’re ever exposed.
Our veterinarians will work with you to choose the right vaccines based on your pet’s age, lifestyle, and health needs. For puppies and kittens, vaccines usually start between 6-8 weeks of age, with boosters every 2-3 weeks until they’re about 16 weeks old. This gives them strong protection through their first year of life.
If needed, your pet's vaccine visit may include a doctor consultation and full exam to make sure your pet is healthy enough for their shots. We'll also keep you updated on when booster shots are due as your pet grows, and you can easily track it all in the myVCA app!
