In very complicated cases, we are fortunate to have access to the nation's largest network of VCA veterinarians and board-certified specialists. At our hospital, we have a board-certified Internal Medicine Specialist, with access to even more specialized care at our sister hospital just down the road! In a word: TEAMWORK!

Dr. Stephanie Powers is available for urgent care and wellness appointments. Dr. Powers grew up on the South Shore in Norwell and attended high school at Notre Dame Academy in Hingham. She received her BS in Biology from Fairfield University in Connecticut, where she was a captain on the equestrian team. She then attended Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island in Canada. Dr. Powers went on to complete a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at the VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in Weymouth. Gerry has been a veterinary technician since 1975 and has been a certified veterinary technician (CVT) since 1988. She was president of the Massachusetts Veterinary Technicians Association (MVTA) and was an active board member as well of the MVTA for many years. Gerry is currently an active member of SMART (State of Mass Animal Response Team). Her career began at the Kindness Animal Hospital from 1975-1980, then at the Weston Veterinary Clinic from 1980-2000 and has been at the VCA Roberts Animal Hospital since September of 2000.
