Dr. Rapoport graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and has been practicing emergency medicine ever since. She went on to complete a VCA Small Animal Internship, followed by an Emergency & Critical Care Internship at a Level I Emergency and Specialty Hospital in Massachusetts.
After several years working as an emergency clinician in Georgia, Dr. Rapoport relocated with her family to the Pacific Northwest in 2019. Her greatest passion in veterinary medicine is caring for inpatients in the ICU, though she has recently developed a strong interest in the dynamic field of urgent care here at VCA Southeast Portland Animal Hospital.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Rapoport has become a certified veterinary acupuncturist and is learning how to integrate this skill into her practice—particularly to support patients with chronic conditions and help improve their overall quality of life. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
