Dr. Roxanne Kruger is a Southern California native. She received her BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Redlands. Dr. Kruger then continued on to obtain her DVM degree from Western University of Health Sciences. Following graduation, she completed a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital.
Dr. Kruger chose to become an emergency room specialist because she loves helping in a time of need, the fast nature of emergency medicine, and the variety of cases seen. She tries to support her owners through these stressful times through communication and education while providing the upmost compassion.
Dr. Kruger chose VCA West Coast because she wanted to be at a hospital where she could be challenged and provide the best patient care possible. In addition, the wide array of specialists around her allow her to fulfill her life goal of being a lifelong learner.
When she is not treating pets, she enjoys Pilates, being outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and eating a variety of foods. She mainly enjoys spending time with her husband, her Ragdoll cat, and taking her Dutch Shepherd Mix on walks.
