Dr. Meghan Flett earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2026 after completing her undergraduate studies in Animal and Poultry Science at Virginia Tech.
Originally from Warrenton, Virginia, Dr. Flett is passionate about building lasting relationships with pets and their families while providing compassionate, judgment-free care. Her professional interests include preventive medicine, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, behavior, and brachycephalic-focused medicine and surgery. During veterinary school, she completed specialized training in animal behavior with a board-certified veterinary behaviorist.
Dr. Flett knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from the age of eight and feels privileged to advocate for and care for animals of all kinds. She especially enjoys helping strengthen the bond between pets and the people who love them.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Flett enjoys crocheting, quilting, reading, birdwatching, and spending time with her husband, Jake, and their two French Bulldogs, Walter and Stanley. She is also inspired by the memory of her beloved dog, Champ, who helped her through high school, college, and veterinary school. Champ played a significant role in her journey to becoming a veterinarian and remains an important part of her story.
Dr. Flett is excited to serve the Northern Virginia community and help pets live happy, healthy lives.
