Dr. Sydney Corso was born and raised in Boca Raton Florida. She graduated with honors from the University of Florida with two Bachelor of Science degrees (psychology and animal sciences) and returned to UF to obtain her doctorate in veterinary medicine and certificate in veterinary business management. While in school, she worked as an ICU technician at UFs' veterinary hospital where she developed one of her passions in emergency medicine and critical care. On the weekends, she volunteered in local shelters and performed surgeries in high volume trap-neuter and release programs to practice her surgical skills and help manage the overpopulation of cats in the Gainesville community.
Upon graduating, she took her passion in emergency medicine to Philadelphia, PA where she practiced as an emergency veterinarian for two years with VCA. After living in Philadelphia, she decided to move back to Florida to be closer to her friends and family. She recently married and lives in Jacksonville Florida with her two dogs, Winnie and Bennie, and two cats, Todd and Copper.
Her passions include general wellness, emergency and behavior medicine. On the weekends she enjoys cycling, gardening and cooking. Dr. Corso is excited to be rejoining the VCA team. She understands pets are a member of the family and hopes to make each of their visits as efficient and comfortable as possible. She is looking forward to meeting you and your pets at your next visit with us!
