Jen is our client service lead at VCA All Pets Salinas. She started her VCA journey as a client service representative at VCA Kaneohe Animal Hospital in Hawaii, where she lived with her husband for 3.5 years. Jen was later promoted to client service lead and transferred to our hospital in May 2024.
Jen grew up in the Washington, D.C. area and worked in the environmental field as a consultant before entering veterinary medicine.
Large dogs are Jen’s favorite. She and her husband have two dogs: Remi, a female German Shepherd they adopted from Lucky Dog Animal Rescue in D.C., and Patty, a female Armenian Gampr they adopted from the SPCA of Monterey this past year.
Some of Jen’s favorite things to do include taking her dogs for walks, going to trivia nights with her partner, and hiking. She was also a hiking leader while living in Hawaii.
Jen’s favorite part about working at our hospital is the nonprofit organization partnerships and support from VCA Charities. She values partnerships with Peace of Mind Dog Rescue, BirchBark Foundation, and VCA Hope Funds, which have enabled dozens of clients’ pets to receive life-saving surgeries. She believes it is important for everyone to have access to support and financial resources for care.
