Donna Dotson

Dr. Donna Dotson is from El Paso, Texas, where she attended Maxine L. Silva Magnet High School for Health Care Professions and volunteered at the Humane Society. She attended undergraduate school and obtained her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico in 2009. She then worked as a veterinary technician for six years. She completed her clinical year at Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine and received her doctorate of veterinary medicine degree in 2019 from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, West Indies where she graduated with high honors.

She enjoys spending time with her dog, "Fozzie Bear", snowboarding, concerts, horseback riding, creating art and playing video games.

Fun Fact: She worked at VCA Becker Animal Hospital as a Senior Veterinary Technician before pursuing her career as a veterinarian.

Dr. Dotson is PennHIP certified. The PennHIP technique assesses the quality of the canine hip and quantitatively measures canine hip joint laxity. This gives an estimate of the risk for painful osteoarthritis (OA) of canine hip dysplasia (CHD) later in life.
