Dr. Angela Schwarz earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine in Glendale, Arizona. Though she's lived in many places over the years, she's always considered Utah home, having moved to Park City in 2007 to enjoy skiing and the beauty of the mountains.
Dr. Schwarz brings unique expertise to the Cottonwood team in the area of holistic medicine. She is certified in both veterinary acupuncture and canine rehabilitation through Chi University. Before attending veterinary school, she owned and operated a canine hydrotherapy business in Park City—an experience that continues to shape her integrated approach to care. Her clinical interests include surgery, pain management, sports medicine, and especially senior pet care. She takes pride in creating individualized treatment plans that support each pet's quality of life, mobility, and comfort over time.
What Dr. Schwarz loves most about veterinary medicine is getting to help nurture the unique bond between people and their pets, through every life stage. Whether she's offering new puppy advice, creating a rehab plan for an aging dog, or offering comfort during difficult decisions, her approach is grounded in compassion, clear communication, and individualized care.
Outside the clinic, you'll find Dr. Schwarz looking for every excuse to get outside. She loves mountain biking, hiking, skiing, paddle boarding, scuba diving, and traveling with her husband. Dr. Schwarz is a passionate advocate for animal adoption and rescue, and has a special affinity for Labradors. She and her husband currently share their home with two beloved rescue pets–Winter, a black lab, and Tokyo, their cat.
