Dr. Maria Mercado is a dedicated veterinarian with a strong passion for animal health and well-being. Originally from Puerto Rico, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George's University and completed her clinical year at the University of Florida, where she gained valuable hands-on experience in a variety of veterinary specialties.
She is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care and strives to make every visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible, for both pets and their people. Dr. Mercado values open communication and enjoys working closely with clients to support the health and happiness of their animal companions. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and takes pride in being able to connect with and serve a diverse community of pet owners.
Outside of work, Dr. Mercado enjoys spending quality time with her pets and family. Whether relaxing at home or enjoying a quiet weekend together, she values the moments that keep her grounded and connected to what matters most.
