Dr. Lindsey Alexander, a graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, brings a lifelong passion for veterinary medicine and a strong commitment to compassionate, collaborative patient care. Dr. Alexander's interest in veterinary medicine began in high school while working at her family's veterinary practice. Those early experiences helped shape her appreciation for the important role veterinarians play in the lives of pets and their families. During her veterinary education, she also completed an externship at the Nebraska Humane Society, gaining valuable experience in high-volume spay and neuter procedures.

At VCA Hollywood, Dr. Alexander continues to expand her clinical experience in emergency medicine, surgery, internal medicine, and diagnostic imaging. She values open communication, thoughtful collaboration, and the unique insight that pet owners and referring veterinarians bring to each patient's care. Her goal is to help families make informed decisions while working toward the best possible outcome for their pets.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Alexander enjoys spending time with her four-legged family, including Leo, a Labrador/Pyrenees mix adopted from Helping Hands Humane Society, and her three cats, Bobby, Brie, and Inga. An avid animal lover, she also enjoys visiting zoos and supporting wildlife conservation efforts.

When she's not caring for animals, you might find her kayaking, reading, sewing, tending to her plants, or playing the violin. Her musical tastes range from show tunes to pop and country. She loves traveling, spending time with family and friends, and, true to her Kansas City roots, cheering on the Chiefs!

Dr. Alexander looks forward to continuing to grow as a veterinarian while providing compassionate, individualized care to the pets and families of South Florida.
