Dr. Nicole Griffith became a part of our team in 2013. She received a Bachelor of Science (Veterinary Medical Technology) in 2004 from Wilson College, PA. She graduated in 2013 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University. Before returning to school for her veterinary degree, she worked in emergency medicine for four years as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) at the University of Georgia in the ICU and Oncology department. She was accepted into the veterinary program at St. George's University in Grenada West Indies and transferred to OSU in 2010. We had the pleasure of hosting her here during her preceptorship €“ we knew then that she would be a wonderful addition to our team.
She and her husband Jeremy have a well-rounded furry family of their own. They have 4 dogs, Zuri, Finnegan, Angus, Murdoc, Sparky, Muster, Tonka, and Digger (a Mali uromastyx €“ reptile).
She has been flourishing here since she began and it has become clear that, truly, your pet's health is her top priority. Researching, collaborating with her colleagues, and using all of the modern tools at our disposal here at VCA she is advocating for patients, building relationships with clients and striving for excellence. We are all inspired by her motivation to research, progress and share her knowledge. She is passionate about expanding her knowledge base for care of exotic pets and emergency medicine. She finds emergency medicine particularly challenging and gratifying and that zeal is expansive and motivating for the rest of the team.
