Dr. Balbine Jourdan, originally from Washington D.C., attended veterinary school at The Ohio State University, where she earned a combined degree: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Master of Public Health (MPH). Dr. Jourdan joined our team at VCA Loomis Basin, where she contributes her expertise across various departments and focuses on multiple professional interests, including emergency medicine, surgery, and dentistry.
In her spare time, Dr. Jourdan enjoys reading, going to the gym, and cheering for the Sacramento Kings. She is a dedicated pet parent to her Pitbull mix named Reiji, who struggles with separation anxiety and barrier frustration. This experience has fueled her passion for helping other pets who encounter similar behaviors, especially in a hospital setting.
