Hengameh Kamali

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Hengameh Kamali, originally from Calabasas, California, earned her bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences from the University of California, Davis, graduating in 2016. She continued her education at UC Davis, completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2021. Dr. Kamali further honed her skills through a rotating internship at VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic, which she finished in 2022. Her diverse background includes working with farm animals, exotics, and zoo species, giving her a well-rounded perspective in veterinary medicine.

Professionally, Dr. Kamali is passionate about emergency and critical care medicine. She brings her expertise to the Emergency/ICU department at VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic, where she is dedicated to providing high-quality care for pets in their most critical moments.

Outside of work, Dr. Kamali enjoys playing soccer, camping, backpacking, reading, and indulging in her love of Chipotle. She especially cherishes spending time with family and friends. At home, she shares her life with her husband and pets, all named after food: Chowder, Olive Oil, Habanero, and Garbanzo. A fun fact about Dr. Kamali? She has a soft spot for pets with food-inspired names!
