Dr. Lizzie Ruffman is originally from Los Angeles, California, and brings a background rooted in both biology and veterinary medicine to her work. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Environmental Biology from Tulane University in 2008, then went on to complete a Master of Science in Biological Sciences at the University of New Orleans before pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree at UC Davis, graduating in 2023.
Dr. Ruffman went on to complete a small animal rotating internship right here at VCA Loomis Basin, finishing in June 2024, giving her a head start getting to know the team, the clients, and the community she now calls home.
Dr. Ruffman looks forward to building lasting relationships with the pets and families she cares for at VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic.
