Dr. Kristen Hutchinson grew up in Toronto, Ontario, where she completed her undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at the University of Guelph. She then attended the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC), graduating with honors in June 2012. Afterward, she moved to Maryland to undertake a 1-year rotating small animal internship at Veterinary Referral Associates. Driven by her passion for emergency and critical care, she completed a 3-year residency in Emergency and Critical Care at Veterinary Referral Associates, becoming a board certified specialist in the field before relocating to California.
In addition to her expertise in emergency and critical care, Dr. Hutchinson has special interests in anesthesia, pain management, autoimmune diseases, and trauma. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring her creative side through baking, drawing, and painting, as well as traveling and playing the piano. Above all, she values time spent with her family and her three beloved cats.
