VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic employs or works with some of the best and brightest veterinarians and veterinary technicians in our profession. As a full-service community, emergency, and specialty practice that can care for your pets 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, we staff over 70 individual doctor shifts each week. All of our veterinarians work between 1 - 4 shifts per week and we are proud to have more than 250 years of combined experience practicing veterinary medicine among our more than 35 doctors.
So that we can provide the best care, we encourage you to find a veterinarian on our staff with whom you and your pet are comfortable. When you call us to make an appointment, please request that doctor when you can. This will help you and your pet to establish a strong relationship with a particular veterinarian. While your preferred veterinarian may not be available every time, we want you to know our entire staff works as a team to ensure your pet receives consistent, excellent veterinary care.

Dr. Vellutini was born and raised in Torrance, California. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon, graduating with a bachelor of science in biology in 1998. He received his doctor of veterinary medicine from Oregon State University and Washington State University in 2003 and joined VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic that same year. Dr. Vellutini became medical director in 2014. His special interests include orthopedic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and emergency medicine.
