Dr. Olivia Petrunich was born in Hawaii and raised in Sparks, Nevada, and Novato, California. She earned her bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis, in 2000, and went on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at UC Davis in 2006. Dr. Petrunich joined VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic in that same year, where she is committed to offering the highest standard of veterinary care and takes great joy in supporting her patients and their families.
When she's away from practicing medicine, Olivia and her husband, David, who is also a veterinarian, enjoy spending time with their daughter and son, both of whom play baseball. Their family includes five cats, one dog, one turtle, one guinea pig, and eight chickens, including one adventurous guinea fowl. Dr. Petrunich's hobbies include chauffeuring her teenagers, cat herding, and practicing yoga.
