Dr. Petrunich was born in Hawaii and raised in Sparks, Nevada, and Novato, California. She received her bachelor's degree in animal science from the University of California, Davis, in 2000, where she remained to complete her doctor of veterinary medicine in 2006. Olivia joined VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic in 2006. She has special interests in small animal medicine, exotics on an emergency basis, and physical rehabilitation.
When away from practicing medicine, Olivia and her husband, David, who is also a veterinarian, enjoy spending time with their daughter. Their family includes six cats, one dog, one turtle, and two snakes. Olivia's hobbies include toddler wrangling, cat herding, and yoga.
