Dr. Brooke Zuidervaart is originally from Atascadero, CA, and completed her undergraduate studies at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, earning a bachelor's degree in Animal Science in 2020. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2024. Dr. Zuidervaart further developed her skills during a six-month emergency mentorship and subsequent year at a VCA Veterinary Emergency Services & Specialty Center in Wisconsin. She has a strong interest in emergency medicine and is dedicated to expanding her expertise in surgery and ultrasound to deliver exceptional critical care to her patients.
Outside of her work at VCA Mueller Pet Medical Center, Dr. Zuidervaart enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing board games, traveling, and thrifting. She shares her home with a wonderful pack of pets: three joyful Golden Retrievers named Ivy, Izzy, and Lovey; and two charming domestic shorthair cats, Karma and Earl.
With a commitment to providing compassionate and skilled emergency care, Dr. Zuidervaart is excited to return to her California roots and serve the community at VCA Mueller Pet Medical Center!
