Dr. Vivian Ghiorzi was born and raised in Brazil, and had the opportunity to spend her high school years in Paris, France. She graduated from Veterinary School at Santa Catarina State University (UDESC, Brazil) in 2006. She then completed a Small Animal Internal Medicine, Anesthesia and Surgery Residency at Lutheran University of Brazil (ULBRA) in 2009. She came to this country in April 2009 for an externship, hoping to specialize even more in surgery (a special interest), and has validated her diploma through the ECFVG program. She practiced for a little over 8 years in Albany, GA, before joining the amazing team at VCA Palmetto Animal Hospital in August 2017.

Dr. Vivian is passionate for Veterinary Medicine, and has particular interests in Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery and Integrative Medicine combining Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal supplements. She is currently enrolled in a Master's of Science program in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) through the Chi University. Aside from working full time at VCA, she is also a Teaching Assistant at the Chi University Veterinary Acupuncture Course in Reddick, FL.

When not working, Dr. Vivian enjoys attending music concerts, reading, going to the beach, and spending time with her family, which includes 4 dogs (Natalie, Mary Jane, Oliver and Rusty), 3 cats (Forrest, Sebastian and Noodle), and a number of orchids.
