Dr. Cecil is originally from Ohio, where she studied pre-vet and biology at The University of Findlay (2014). After finishing her Bachelors of Science, Dr. Cecil worked as a zookeeper for Disney's Animal Kingdom for three years, where she worked with a variety of species. Some of her favorites to work with included Nile hippopotamus, okapi, and giraffe. After her time in the sunshine state, Dr. Cecil decided to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian and moved to the island of St. Kitts and graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. While on St. Kitts Dr. Cecil adopted her first born, Maddie, the island dog. Her final/clinical year of veterinary school was completed at The University of Florida. After finishing vet school, Dr. Cecil decided she could never go back to the cold and looked for positions in the south, falling in love with Myrtle Beach, SC.
Dr. Cecil has special interests in surgery, preventative care, and the human-animal bond. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading by the pool and spending time with her husband and pets at the beach. Her pets include two dogs, Maddie and Marvel, and a three-legged cat named Hermione, but fondly goes by Meow-Meow.
