Nakai started in the veterinary field in 2014 while in Oak View, California. After Nakai and her husband moved to Maryland in 2019, she began her journey with VCA. Over the last several years she has advanced through several roles - Exam Room Assistant, Treatment Room Technician, Senior Technician, Surgery Technician and in December 2021, was promoted to Technician Supervisor. She has a strong passion for patient comfort, quality of care, and client education. Nakai is currently enrolled in Penn Foster and is on her way to becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. In her spare time, Nakai enjoys relaxing with her two cats and bearded dragon, Rubeus.
